School Holiday Miniature Vase Modelling Class 2hrs - Friday 11th April - Two session times
In this 2 hour class we will create a group of miniature vases using a selection of clay types and colours (Terracotta, White and a mid brown speckled clay).
After we have created our pieces, we will decorate their surface using a range of tools, stamps, lace and natural materials for mark making. All materials used are Australian and non-toxic.
After the class the students work will be dried over a 2 week period, glazed and kiln fired for durability and functionality making them watertight. All work will be made to a high standard and available for collection approx 3-4 weeks after the class.
When: Friday 11th April
Session 1 - 10am-12pm
Session 2 - 2pm - 4pm
Suited for ages 8yrs+
Location: The Gap QLD 4061 (address supplied after booking).
Maximum 8 per class.
What will be provided:
All materials, tools and aprons
Guided tuition by Melanie Hardy and assistant
Kiln firings
Glazing
Enough clay to create approx 4-5 miniature/small pieces (children are welcome to adapt their clay portions to create other shapes eg. mini plates and bowls however the class will focus primarily on modelling of vase shapes.
A light snack will be provided.
What to bring:
Enclosed shoes
A jacket as the studio can get a little cooler this time of year
A water bottle.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION:
By booking your place in this class you agree to the following cancellation policy and health information below:
All cancellations must be made via email or text to: melaniehardyceramics@gmail.com or 0422 225 190 just so I know if you can’t make the class. Cancellations can be made up to 48hrs prior to the class for a full credit. Please advise as soon as you know you can’t make it, as often I have a waitlist and can replace your spot if given enough notice. If your spot can be replaced within this period, I will be able to provide you with a refund you. Alternatively, you're welcome to gift your spot to another person, just send me an email or text to let me know.
My class is open to all; however, it is important to ensure you do not come to this class if you are contagious of any illness.
If you arrive unwell to the class with flu-like symptoms, you will be asked to leave immediately. For any other health issues requiring a cancellation, please do get in touch and I will be most happy to accommodate wherever possible.
